I haven't thought about the specifics of the Hōrai immortality, actually. They're not actually immune to ailments. They can and do get sick. They just can't finally die from it. They regenerate.
So, you know. If somehow all else fails... a hard reset for the diaphragm may be the option left on the table – taking the rest of the body along with it too.
