Huh... we can draw a real line of connection between Miko and Shō here – Chōgosonshiji or Mt. Shigi. The temple was built by Prince Shōtoku because he prayed to Bishamonten for victory here in the year of the Tiger, on the day of the Tiger, and at the hour of the Tiger.
Yeah, so that's the association with the Tiger. 🤔 And so in a way, Miko started the Bishamonten cult following that Byakuren is part of.
