Okay, so the joke with 金上京 as I understand it is that it's pronounced exactly like "Kinjōkyō", which would be the Japanese name of Fossilized Wonders. Switching the first character, of course, changes the meaning.

Normally it's "錦上 + 京" which would be "Crowning Glory Capital." However, it must be noted that the last two characters by themselves also form a phrase. 上京 would mean "Going to the Capital".

So what does this mean with "金 + 上京"? 金 is gold, effectively changing the meaning to something like "Gold Goes To Capital" – or much more likely "Blonde Moves To Capital" assuming 金 to be short for blonde hair.
