Considering the word, I am quite certain that the bug spray here is repellent, and not... well, insecticide. For one, Google gives pretty friendly-looking labels for "虫除け" – the kind you'd take with you in outdoor trips.
Googling "殺虫剤", on the other hand, gets me the more familiar-looking cans.
