Huh... binbōgami is not actually all that bad. They may be actually worshipped too. The idea is that you invite one to your house to host/worship, and then you send it off. Once you do that, your poverty becomes fortune.
Moral of the story is – treat Shion well, and she'll take your poverty with you (at which point, it's her and other people's problem).
