I do like the idea that Wriggle might not necessarily be a firefly. While in the demo, her bio specifies her as such, the full game has her as just "Insect Yōkai", so there is potential to assume that Wriggle may take any insect form.
And she just happened to be a firefly during Imperishable Night.
